Rep. August Pfluger, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 11th District since 2021, posted several updates on his social media account addressing recent events and acknowledgments.

On July 29, 2025, Rep. Pfluger expressed appreciation to a fellow representative with the message: “Honored to have you, @RepArrington!”

The following day, July 30, 2025, he issued a warning regarding seismic activity near Russia and its potential impact on U.S. territories and the West Coast: “ATTENTION ALASKA, HAWAII, & THE WEST COAST

A massive earthquake was recorded off the coast of Russia and Tsunami alerts have been issued.

Whether you are a resident or visitor of these areas, please take immediate action and visit https://t.co/5j6QZoXxjX for up-to-date https://t.co/apgou0Lt4Z

Later that day, Rep. Pfluger recognized local efforts in response to recent flooding in San Angelo: “Thank you to the City of San Angelo for highlighting the amazing work of our first responders and community in the aftermath of the July 4th flooding. Together, we are San Angelo strong!”

August Pfluger began serving as the representative for Texas’s 11th District after winning the seat in the November 2020 general election against Jon Mark Hogg by a significant margin—receiving nearly 80% of the vote. He succeeded Mike Conaway in this role starting in January 2021 (source: official congressional biography).
