Rep. August Pfluger, who represents Texas’ 11th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of issues on his social media account, including law enforcement safety, government shutdown impacts on small businesses, and military standards.
On October 4, 2025, Rep. Pfluger commented on an incident involving federal agents: “Attacks on our ICE agents are completely unacceptable. Thankful no officers were seriously injured in this egregious attack today. Please join me in praying for the safety of all our law enforcement officers and thanking them for their unwavering service to our country.”
Two days later, on October 6, 2025, he highlighted concerns about the ongoing government shutdown’s effects on local enterprises: “Small businesses in Texas that need disaster assistance will face a delay of nearly $307 million in payments if the government shutdown continues. Democrats need to come to their senses and REOPEN the government.”
Later that same day, Rep. Pfluger referenced his military background while discussing Pentagon policies: “As an F-22 pilot, I know what it takes to be battle-ready and fight for our freedoms. Servicemembers MUST be held to the highest standards. Thanks to @SecWar, we are finally restoring the warrior ethos at the Pentagon.”
August Pfluger has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after replacing Mike Conaway and winning his seat with nearly 80% of the vote against Jon Mark Hogg in 2020. He continues to represent Texas’s 11th District.
