Rep. August Pfluger, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 11th district since 2021, shared a series of posts on September 16, 2025, addressing recent events and legislative actions in Washington.

On the evening of September 15, Rep. Pfluger participated in a memorial at the U.S. Capitol. He wrote, “Last night, I joined my colleagues in prayer at Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol to honor the life of our dear friend, Charlie Kirk. Charlie was a true American patriot. As we remember his remarkable life, we must carry his legacy forward with the same vigilance and courage.” (posted September 16, 2025).

Later that day, Rep. Pfluger highlighted his support for new legislation concerning juvenile crime accountability: “Proud to have just voted in favor of my friend @RepBrandonGill’s legislation to hold violent juveniles accountable. @HouseGOP is making DC safe for generations to come!” (posted September 16, 2025).

He also commented on broader legislative efforts by House Republicans: “@HouseGOP just passed two critical pieces of legislation to support President Trump’s actions to fight crime in DC and put an end to liberal soft-on-crime policies.” (posted September 16, 2025).

August Pfluger succeeded Mike Conaway as representative for Texas’s 11th district after winning the general election against Jon Mark Hogg in 2020 with nearly 80% of the vote. He has held this congressional seat since January 2021.
