Rep. August Pfluger, who represents Texas’ 11th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on September 19, 2025, addressing recent House votes and his office’s recognition for constituent services.
On September 19, Rep. Pfluger criticized House Democrats for their stance on a government funding measure. He wrote, “Nearly every single House Democrat just voted against the Continuing Resolution to fund the government. It’s ironic, now that they are no longer in power, Democrats seem to have forgotten their years of warning that government shutdowns are reckless and harmful to seniors,” at 15:04 UTC.
Later that day, he commented on another vote in the House regarding political violence and Charlie Kirk: “58 Democrats just voted against a resolution to condemn political violence and honor the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk in the wake of his assassination. Some of my colleagues on the other side of the aisle are completely out of touch with the American people. Truly”, posted at 15:09 UTC.
In a separate post later in the afternoon, Rep. Pfluger reflected on his service goals and announced an award received by his office: “When I first came to Congress, I had one goal in mind: to focus on the people that I represent by being the gold standard for constituent services. I am grateful to the @congressfdn for recognizing our office as a 2025 Democracy Awards Winner for Best of Constituent Services and”, at 17:29 UTC.
August Pfluger has served as representative for Texas’s 11th District since replacing Mike Conaway in 2021. He was elected after defeating Jon Mark Hogg in the general election with nearly 80% of votes cast.
