Rep. August Pfluger, who represents Texas’ 11th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on October 17, 2025, regarding his recent activities and policy positions through a series of posts on his official X account.
In his first post as Chairman of the U.S. Air Force Academy Board of Visitors, Pfluger addressed ongoing delays in the renovation of the Cadet Chapel. He stated: “As Chairman of the U.S. Air Force Academy Board of Visitors, I look forward to working with @POTUS and @SecWar on expediting the Cadet Chapel renovation. Later that day, Pfluger recounted a visit to San Angelo where he met with local officials and organizations to discuss support for those affected by a government shutdown. He wrote: “I had a great time in San Angelo yesterday alongside local officials, financial institutions, and service organizations for a roundtable and press conference to discuss financial assistance programs available for individuals impacted by the Democrats’ government shutdown. In another post from October 17, Pfluger commented on Second Amendment rights during government shutdowns: “Your Second Amendment Rights should not be halted when Democrats decide to shut the government down. August Pfluger has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after replacing Mike Conaway as representative for Texas’s 11th District. In his initial election in 2020, he secured victory over Jon Mark Hogg with nearly 80% of the vote.
