Rep. August Pfluger, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 11th district, shared updates on legislative efforts and national security concerns through several posts on March 25 and 26, 2026.
On March 25, Pfluger highlighted his recent legislative initiative in the area of emergency communications. He stated, “The Mystic Alerts Act ensures that during natural disasters, Wireless Emergency Alerts can still be delivered via satellite when traditional networks go down or service is unavailable. Later that evening, he addressed issues related to national security and federal law enforcement support. In a post dated March 25, he wrote, “Democrats are unwilling to support TSA agents, Coast Guardsmen, Border Patrol, and ICE to do their jobs. At a time when terror threats on our country remain high, Democrats must stop undermining those who keep our country safe. @hughhewitt @HomelandGOP https://t.co/EW5ngjpUY4”.
On March 26, Pfluger commented on an encounter with a local official from his home state by posting: “Great seeing Ward Whitworth from the Texas Soil and Water Conservation Board in our nation’s capital! https://t.co/Lc8eKQC407”.
August Pfluger has served as the representative for Texas’s 11th District since replacing Mike Conaway in 2021. Born in Houston in 1978 and currently residing in San Angelo at age 44, Pfluger won his congressional seat after defeating Jon Mark Hogg in the general election of 2020 with nearly 80% of the vote.
