August Pfluger, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 11th district since 2021, has been actively promoting legislative efforts on social media. In a series of tweets, he emphasized the importance of passing legislation that aligns with former President Trump’s agenda.
On May 21, 2025, Pfluger advocated for the passage of what he called the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” He outlined its objectives: “Preventing the largest tax increase in US history,” “Cutting wasteful spending,” “Restoring American energy dominance,” and “Securing historic border security investments.”
Later that day, Pfluger expressed gratitude for hosting National Economic Council Director Kevin Hassett at a meeting with members of the Republican Study Committee. He urged for progress on the bill by stating: “We must get the One Big, Beautiful Bill over the finish line!”
Continuing his advocacy into May 22, 2025, Pfluger tweeted succinctly about his determination to advance Trump’s policies: “Let’s get President Trump’s agenda passed!”
August Pfluger was born in Houston, Texas in 1978 and currently resides in San Angelo. He succeeded Mike Conaway in representing Texas’s 11th District.
