Rep. August Pfluger, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 11th district since 2021, shared a series of messages on July 4, 2025, reflecting on Independence Day and addressing ongoing issues affecting his constituents.
In a message celebrating Independence Day, Rep. Pfluger expressed his pride in being an American and living in what he described as “the greatest country on earth.” He urged citizens to “celebrate the freedoms we are blessed with while remembering the duty we each have to protect them,” concluding with a patriotic sentiment: “God bless America “.
Later that day, Rep. Pfluger turned his attention to recent natural disasters affecting his district. He expressed concern for those impacted by flooding in central Texas, specifically mentioning young campers: “We continue to pray for all affected by the floods in central Texas, including the young boys and girls attending camp.”
In another post later that evening, Rep. Pfluger extended gratitude towards first responders and community leaders who have been active in flood relief efforts. He emphasized safety amid ongoing challenges: “Thank you to the first responders across the district who mobilized immediately this morning… As these floods continue, please stay safe everyone.”
August Pfluger was born in Houston, Texas in 1978 and currently resides in San Angelo.
