August Pfluger, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 11th district, recently took to social media to address efforts and developments related to flood recovery in his region. Pfluger, who has been a member of Congress since replacing Mike Conaway in 2021, shared updates on various initiatives aimed at assisting affected communities.

On July 9, 2025, Pfluger posted about his activities in San Angelo alongside several team members. He stated that they were there to assist flood survivors by “logging iSTAT damage surveys and volunteering at the Disaster Response Center located at PaulAnn Church.” He encouraged those impacted by the flood to complete an iSTAT survey for assistance. On July 11, 2025, Pfluger expressed gratitude towards Governor Greg Abbott for his role in expanding President Trump’s Disaster Declaration to include more communities across Texas.
