Rep. August Pfluger, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 11th district since 2021, recently shared updates on his activities and legislative priorities through social media posts.
On June 3, 2025, Rep. Pfluger expressed enthusiasm about engaging with students from the Foundation for Rural Service, stating “Great meeting with students today from the Foundation for Rural Service!”
Later that day, he announced a significant legislative achievement via social media. He noted that “The Senate just unanimously passed the ACES Act, my top priority in Congress!” This legislation honors Colonel Shurtleff, a former fighter pilot and friend of Rep. Pfluger who recently passed away after an unexpected battle.
On June 4, 2025, Rep. Pfluger reflected on a productive visit to the Permian Basin alongside several colleagues from the House Commerce Committee. He remarked “It was a great day in the Permian Basin earlier this week with @HouseCommerce Chairman @RepGuthrie and fellow Committee members @RepRickAllen, @RepLangworthy, @RepRussellFry, @RepCraigGoldman, and @TXRandy14.” Additional details about this visit were made available through an article in Odessa American.
