Midland – Bruce Evan Foster, aged 72, of Midland, Texas, passed away on September 14, 2025. Born on June 3, 1953, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to Vincent Duran Foster and Nelda Margaret Steffey Foster, Bruce had a decorated career in the United States Air Force, reaching the rank of Sergeant.
A MENSA member and a lifelong learner, he held degrees from the University of Texas and pursued a career in law, initially with the District Attorney’s Office in Houston. Moving to Midland in the 1980s, he was a devoted father to five children.
Bruce was known for his diverse interests, from flying and skiing to photography and music. An advocate for justice, he was remembered for his commitment to fairness and truth.
He is survived by his children, Paul, Jonathan, Samantha, and Anna Foster; daughter-in-law Tammy Foster; grandchildren Thomas, Daniel, and Juliet Foster; and his faithful feline companion, Swiper.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at American Heritage Funeral Home.
