Midland – Carlan Ann Robinson Walker, a cherished member of the Midland community known for her unwavering faith and love for her family, passed away on August 25, 2025. She was 81 years old.
Born on December 19, 1943, in Midland, Texas, Carlan lived a life dedicated to her Christian beliefs and ministry through music. She leaves behind a legacy of love and faith in her daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and friends.
A gifted singer and devoted member of the Greater Ideal Baptist Church choir, Carlan’s spirit-filled Christian life touched many hearts. Her warm smile and uplifting words as a Walmart greeter for 26 years left a lasting impact on all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held to honor Carlan Walker at a later date. The family expresses gratitude to all who supported and cared for Carlan during her life. She will be remembered with love and greatly missed.
