Midland Independent School District reports an increase in teacher designations through its Teacher Incentive Allotment program. More than $6.4 million has been distributed as part of this effort aimed at improving educator retention and student outcomes.

Dr. Stephanie Howard of Midland ISD has been named to the Advisory Board for the TEXAS Fellowship led by Texas Tech University. The program focuses on developing educational leaders through research-driven policy work across Texas.

A community group will convene a Midland Animal Services- Rescue Runners meeting in Midland on Saturday, April 4.

Midland ISD trustees reviewed construction updates on new schools and renovations during their March meeting. The board approved budget changes, selected architects for upcoming projects, adopted new instructional materials, and discussed improvement plans affecting local campuses.

Midland ISD has selected Parkhill as its architectural and engineering partner for Bond Package 13 projects: John “Randy” Storie Middle School renovations and construction of a new Encore Academy facility. The decision aims at cost savings while improving educational infrastructure for general education and special needs students.

Midland Independent School District has received new funding through the Further Faster grant program. The funds will help improve leadership development and performance monitoring throughout all campuses in pursuit of better student outcomes.
