Midland – Elias “Eli” Anaya Jr., 62, of Midland, Texas, passed away on August 23, 2025, after bravely battling cancer. Born on May 12, 1963, in Odessa, he was known for his warm heart and gentle spirit. Eli worked as a detail technician at Rogers Ford and was a proud graduate of Lee High School.
Predeceased by his mother, Margarita Gomez Baker, brother Oscar Gomez, and uncle Robert Gomez Sr., who raised him with love, Eli is survived by his sister, aunt, cousins, and an extended family who will forever hold his memory dear.
The Anaya family expresses deep gratitude to Angels Care Hospice, staff, and caregiver Sylvia Barber for their unwavering care and support during Eli’s illness.
Eli’s legacy of love and kindness will be cherished by all who knew him during his life in Midland.
