Fred Hale Neal, born on April 1, 1925, in Roswell, New Mexico, passed away on September 24, 2025, at the age of 100 in San Marcos, Texas. He married Anna Rae Elder in 1952, and they had two children. Fred was a devoted member of Crestview Baptist Church in Midland, serving in various roles for many years. He also served in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed in Japan. Fred had a successful career in the oil industry, retiring in 1989. He was known for his faith, kindness, generosity, and wit. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, son, parents, and siblings, and is survived by his daughter, granddaughter, daughter-in-law, brothers, sister-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Funeral services will be held on October 6, 2025, at Crestview Baptist Church, followed by graveside services at Resthaven Memorial Park. Donations can be made to Crestview Baptist Church or the Alzheimer’s Association in his memory.
