Midland, TX – Jesus Martin Vela, a 32-year-old Midland, Texas, native, passed away on September 6, 2025. Known for his warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit, Jesus was the cherished son of Rosemary and Manuel Vela.
Jesus was admired for his caring nature, particularly his ability to connect with children through his playful heart and gentle presence. His love for dancing and family gatherings brought joy to those around him, leaving lasting memories with all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his brother Henry “Crickett” Vela, grandparents Maria and Heginio Herrera, grandmother Maria Castaneda, nephew Juan Herrera, and uncles Fred Vela and Valentin Vela. Jesus is survived by his children Josiah Hernandez and Alaina Vela, as well as his siblings Dora Bencomo, George Losoya, Cindy Vela, Manuel Vela, and Daniel Vela.
Jesus’s legacy of love, laughter, and compassion will endure in the hearts of his loved ones. His presence will be greatly missed but forever cherished.
