Midland, TX – Jimmy V. Gomez, a United States Marine Corps veteran, passed away on September 5, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born on February 2, 1953, in Fort Stockton, TX, to Jesusita Velasquez Gomez and Margarito Gomez.
Jimmy is survived by his wife Priscilla Gomez, sons Jacob James Gomez, Joseph James Gomez, Zachary Martinez, Pedro Jaenz, daughter Tina Garcia, and several grandchildren. He will be remembered for his service to his country and the love he showed to his family and friends.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 5:00pm to 6:00pm at Avalos-Sanchez and Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Midland, TX. A funeral service will follow from 6:00pm to 7:00pm. Interment of ashes with military honors will take place at a later date.
