Midland, Texas – Joseph Bernard Williams Jr., affectionately called “JWill” or “JJ,” transitioned to be with the Lord on May 6, 2026. Born on August 6, 1999, in Midland, Texas, Joseph was the son of Matiemae Lytle and Joseph Bernard Williams Sr.
Joseph’s spiritual journey began early at Cotton Flat Baptist Church, where he devoted his life to God. He excelled in sports throughout his youth and high school years, fostering lasting friendships. A graduate of Midland High School in 2018, he made a lasting impact on classmates, educators, and all who knew him.
In 2022, Joseph embraced fatherhood with the birth of his cherished daughter, Adelaide Serenity Espinoza Williams. He dedicated himself to being the best father possible and took pride in her, becoming her source of joy and love.
Remembered for his infectious smile and warm presence, Joseph was always ready to assist those in need. His kindness, laughter, and love brought solace and joy to those around him, leaving a bright and enduring legacy.
He is now reunited in heaven with loved ones, including Aunt Brenda Williams, Aunt Victoria Thompson, Uncle Nathan Williams, Uncle Donnie Thompson, Grandmother Claudia Thompson, and Grandfather Curtis Thompson.
Joseph is survived by his mother, Matiemae Lytle; father, Joseph Bernard Williams Sr.; grandmother, Lula Chambers; daughter, Adelaide Serenity Espinoza Williams; sisters Brandy Williams, Nachelle Williams, and Taja Thompson; brother Dajon Samuels; nieces Amagine Taylor and Tariya Chatman; nephew Namari Taylor; uncles Melvin Norris, Jessie Norris, Tommy Burton, Charles Curtis, and Bennie Thompson; aunts Pamela Wright and Kathy Williams; along with numerous relatives and friends.
