Midland, Texas – Lorena Estrada Lopez, beloved mother, daughter, sibling, and school nurse, passed away suddenly at 39, leaving a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her. Lorena’s dedication to her children – Serenity Renee Sparks, Trinity Jolie Sparks, and Julian Austin Soliz – was unending, and her joy came from watching them thrive.

Survived by her parents, Azucena and Vicente Lopez, and siblings Veronica, Damian, and Vincent Lopez, Lorena will also be missed by numerous family, friends, colleagues, and students touched by her warmth and compassion.

Known for her contagious laughter and ability to forge deep connections, Lorena’s gift for uplifting spirits and creating genuine closeness left a lasting impact. As a school nurse, she displayed unwavering care and dedication, recognized for saving a student’s life due to her compassionate nature.

In the wake of this tragic loss, the focus is on supporting Lorena’s children. A donation space has been established to assist with funeral expenses, relocation, and other unforeseen needs, appreciating every gesture of love and support.

A viewing at American Heritage Funeral Home will be held on September 5, 2025, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for September 6, 2025, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, with interment at American Heritage Cemetery.

The outpouring of prayers, love, and kindness during this time is deeply appreciated. Lorena’s memory will endure through the love, light, and laughter she shared with all those whose lives she touched.
