Orman J. Hubbard Jr., born on August 1, 1936, in Lubbock, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2025, in Midland. Known for his kind heart and service to others, Orman lived a life filled with love, family, and compassion.
A graduate of Texas Tech University, Orman pursued his passion for geology, ultimately becoming a dedicated landman. His devotion extended beyond his profession as he actively participated in the YMCA, ran marathons, and generously volunteered with Meals on Wheels alongside his beloved wife Bonnie.
Orman’s love for his family was unwavering, especially evident in his cherished relationship with Bonnie and their daughters Staci, Paige, and Amy. He doted on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bringing joy with his sweet treats and warm smile. An animal lover, Orman’s home was a sanctuary for a variety of animals, showcasing his nurturing spirit.
His dedication to serving others extended to church ministry, Marathon training, and Yuletide celebrations as Santa Claus. Orman’s legacy of kindness lives on through the hearts of those he touched, inspiring acts of service and compassion in others.
Orman is survived by his loving wife, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family members. A visitation will be held on September 24, 2025, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, with a Celebration of Life Service following on September 25, 2025, at Holy Trinity Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Meals on Wheels, Midland YMCA, Holy Trinity Church, Holy Trinity Preschool, or a charity of choice are encouraged to honor Orman’s memory. The family expresses gratitude to Heart to Heart Hospice for their compassionate care.
