Congressman August Pfluger, who represents Texas’ 11th district in the U.S. Congress, announced that his office has been recognized by the Congressional Management Foundation (CMF) as the 2025 Democracy Award winner for Best of Constituent Correspondence and Outreach.
“My office is the gold standard for constituent services, and I am very proud that this was recognized by being selected as this year’s CMF Democracy Award winner for Best of Constituent Correspondence and Outreach. I say it often, but it is truly the honor of a lifetime to represent the best district in the country, and I will always prioritize serving and engaging with constituents – keeping them informed, listening to their questions and concerns, and ensuring they get answers. If you would like to contact me about a specific issue, or just want your voice to be heard, please don’t hesitate to visit my website at pfluger.house.gov,” Pfluger said in a statement.
The Congressional Management Foundation’s Democracy Awards are designed to recognize non-legislative achievements by Members of Congress and their staff. These awards focus on public service, operational excellence, and innovative practices within congressional offices. Offices submit self-nominations during an open period each year, completing surveys specific to award categories and providing supplementary materials. After initial evaluation by CMF staff, winners are chosen by an independent selection committee.
Pfluger’s office received recognition for its approach to constituent communication through various channels such as letters, emails, social media, and other outreach efforts. The award highlights transparency, responsiveness, and ongoing dialogue between elected officials and their communities.
August Pfluger has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Mike Conaway. He won his seat in 2020 with nearly 80% of the vote against Jon Mark Hogg.
