Rep. August Pfluger, who represents Texas’ 11th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of messages on social media addressing back-to-school season, crime rates in Washington D.C., and new legislation focused on military aviators’ health.On August 18, 2025, Rep. Pfluger shared a message to families and educators as the school year begins:

“It’s back-to-school time, TX-11! A huge thank you to all of the parents and guardians who have prepared their students for the upcoming year. Wishing all students and educators a wonderful school year, and I am praying for a smooth transition back for all schools across https://t.co/qEiGml3H8U”

.The following day, August 19, he commented on recent crime statistics from Washington D.C.:

“In just one week, overall crime is down by eight percent in our nation’s capital. This is what real leadership looks like in the White House. Thank you, @POTUS! https://t.co/6niMDtB0hn”

.Later that same day, Rep. Pfluger highlighted new federal legislation supporting military personnel:

“Pilots and aircrew face a higher risk of developing various types of cancer.Last week, @POTUS signed my ACES Act into law — a crucial step toward ensuring comprehensive research into cancer rates among military aviators, so we can better protect them.https://t.co/09HxcMa1S4”

.August Pfluger has served as the U.S. Representative for Texas’s 11th District since 2021 after succeeding Mike Conaway.

August Pfluger is currently serving in the U.S. Congress, representing Texas’ 11th district. He replaced previous U.S Congress member Mike Conaway in 2021.

In his initial election victory in 2020 against Jon Mark Hogg, he secured nearly 80% of the vote.
