Rep. August Pfluger, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 11th district since 2021, posted a series of updates on September 23, 2025, addressing disaster relief, broadband deployment, and government funding.

In his first post at 18:05 UTC, Rep. Pfluger reminded constituents about the approaching deadline for federal assistance following recent flooding: “There are less than 5 days to apply for FEMA assistance for the July 4th floods. If you or someone you know in Texas-11 was impacted and needs assistance, please apply at https://t.co/0GsjvSBPVM or by calling the FEMA helpline at 800-621-3362. For the latest information” (September 23, 2025).

Later that day at 19:35 UTC, he highlighted progress on efforts to expand internet access nationwide: “Witnesses in last week’s @HouseCommerce hearing agreed that my Federal Broadband Deployment Tracking Act is essential to closing the digital divide in America. We must continue to improve transparency and efficiency in broadband deployment.” (September 23, 2025).

At 21:41 UTC on the same day, Rep. Pfluger commented on recent legislative developments regarding government funding: “Reminder: @HouseGOP successfully passed the CR last week to keep the government open. Democrats are the ones threatening a government shutdown right now.” (September 23, 2025).

August Pfluger has represented Texas’s 11th District since succeeding Mike Conaway in Congress in January 2021. He was elected after defeating Jon Mark Hogg in the general election with nearly eighty percent of the vote.
