Rep. August Pfluger, who represents Texas’ 11th district in the U.S. Congress, shared a series of posts on social media addressing both local and international issues between October 8 and 9, 2025.

On October 8, Pfluger reflected on his engagement with constituents in Garden City, writing, “It was a terrific morning in Garden City speaking with so many engaged constituents at our community town hall. I was honored to recognize the Glasscock County 4-H Livestock Judging Team at the event for their impressive ninth-place finish at nationals. The Democrats’ https://t.co/YQ748o6TXq”.

Later that day, he addressed recent developments in the Middle East, specifically referencing violence involving Hamas and ongoing peace efforts. Pfluger stated on October 8, “Hamas’ unprovoked and brutal attack killing 1,200 and kidnapping over 250 innocent people was pure evil. Now we must ensure the beginnings of this historic Gaza peace deal are fully upheld and all hostages are safely returned home to their families. Continuing his commentary into the next day, Pfluger commented on political dynamics in Washington and U.S. foreign policy: “Democrats are in full meltdown. Meanwhile, President Trump is delivering historic peace in the Middle East and working for the safety and security of all Americans. Where are my veteran colleagues on the other side of the aisle? Have you visited your bases and talked to military” (October 9).
