Rep. August Pfluger, who represents Texas’ 11th district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media platform on October 1, 2025, to address constituents about the ongoing government shutdown and to offer resources and support.

In a post published at 19:49 UTC, Pfluger wrote, “As we face a Democrat-led government shutdown, I want to ensure every individual in Texas-11 has the information they need. That’s why I’ve launched a new FAQ page on my website to explain how this may affect you and your family.

Later that evening at 20:42 UTC, he provided further assurances regarding constituent services: “Every single one of my offices remain open and fully staffed to serve constituents despite the Democrat-led shutdown.

If you need assistance with a federal agency or have questions about the shutdown, please reach out.

In addition to updates on congressional operations during the shutdown, Pfluger posted a message marking Yom Kippur at 22:44 UTC: “Wishing all our Jewish friends a peaceful and reflective Yom Kippur.”

August Pfluger has represented Texas’s 11th District since replacing Mike Conaway in 2021. He won his seat by defeating Jon Mark Hogg in the 2020 general election with nearly 80% of the vote. Pfluger’s office remains available for constituent inquiries throughout the current government funding impasse.
