Rep. August Pfluger, a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 11th district since 2021, shared updates on social media regarding his recent activities and reactions to national events.
On September 9, 2025, Rep. Pfluger posted about his meeting with veterans in Washington D.C., stating: “Had a great time meeting with representatives from the Texas VFW in our nation’s capital today! Always proud to support our veterans and active duty service members.”
The following day, he addressed reports of violence involving Charlie Kirk at a Turning Point USA event. On September 10, 2025, he wrote: “Camille and I are praying for my friend @charliekirk11, his wife, and children amid reports of shots being fired at him during a Turning Point USA event.”
Later that same day, Rep. Pfluger expressed condolences after learning of Kirk’s death: “Camille and I are mourning the tragic loss of Charlie Kirk, who was murdered in a horrific act of political violence. Charlie was a loving father, devoted husband, and dear friend. I had the privilege of serving alongside him on the U.S. Air Force Academy Board of Visitors this”
August Pfluger succeeded Mike Conaway as representative for Texas’ 11th district in 2021 after winning the general election against Jon Mark Hogg with nearly 80% of the vote. He has been an advocate for veterans and active duty service members throughout his tenure.
