Rep. August Pfluger, who represents Texas’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared a series of updates on social media covering legislative efforts, community outreach, and tributes to conservative leaders.
On July 19, Pfluger highlighted the influence of Ed Feulner on the conservative movement and his own leadership journey as chairman of the Republican Study Committee. He wrote, “Ed Feulner’s leadership at the Heritage Foundation and role in founding the @RepublicanStudy has undoubtedly helped shape the conservative movement into what it is today. As the current RSC Chairman, I have had the privilege of learning from Ed’s example. His legacy will leave” (July 19, 2025).
In another update posted on July 21, Pfluger announced mobile office hours for constituents affected by recent flooding in several Texas communities. He stated, ” My office will be holding mobile office hours in Menard, San Saba, and San Angelo this week to assist Texas-11 residents who have been impacted by flooding. If you lost important documents such as Social Security Cards, Passports, Birth Certificates, etc., please don’t” (July 21, 2025).
Later that day, Pfluger discussed his advocacy for pilots through support of new legislation on the House floor. He posted, “I just spoke on the House Floor in support of the ACES Act. This legislation is more than just a bill—it’s a lifeline and a message to every pilot who has ever put on the uniform to protect our skies that we will fight to protect them in return. August Pfluger has served as a U.S. Congressman representing Texas’s 11th District since replacing Mike Conaway in 2021. Born in Houston in 1978 and currently residing in San Angelo at age 44, he continues to engage with both national policy issues and local constituent needs.
