Rep. August Pfluger, who represents Texas’s 11th district in the U.S. Congress, shared his perspectives on recent legislative actions and policy issues through a series of posts on September 30, 2025.
In one post, Rep. Pfluger addressed the ongoing debate over government funding, stating on September 30: “The American people overwhelmingly want to keep the government open, and that’s exactly what @HouseGOP voted to do. Yet once again, Democrats are putting Americans LAST, ignoring the wishes of the American people, and pushing our country toward a reckless government shutdown.”
Later that day, he commented on energy policy and tax relief measures: “Energy fuels every aspect of modern life, from our daily routines to the backbone of our economy. Affordable and abundant energy is essential, which is exactly what the Working Families Tax Cut delivers. In my latest in @WashTimesOpEd, I outlined the tangible wins we secured.” He also provided a link for readers to access his full opinion piece: “Read the full piece here: https://t.co/BuVmM5qa6f”.
August Pfluger has served as U.S. Representative for Texas’s 11th District since 2021 after replacing Mike Conaway. He was elected in 2020 by defeating Jon Mark Hogg with nearly 80 percent of the vote.
