Rep. August Pfluger, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 11th district since 2021, recently highlighted local stories of citizenship and community recovery efforts in a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).

On August 21, 2025, Pfluger shared news about new citizens in his district: “Yesterday, several Concho Valley residents celebrated their first day as U.S. citizens! Legal immigration, the path chosen by these individuals, is one of the pillars on which America was built. I am proud of their dedication and perseverance on the journey to citizenship.” He followed up with a link for more information: “Read more here: https://t.co/wiIpEHmP01”.

Later that day, Pfluger thanked a local baseball team for its role in disaster relief following recent flooding: “Thank you to the Midland @RockHounds team who are helping our neighbors in the Hill Country rebuild their communities after the devastating floods on July 4th. Texans always step up for each other in times of need.”

August Pfluger has served as representative for Texas’s 11th District since succeeding Mike Conaway in 2021. In the 2020 general election, he won against Jon Mark Hogg with nearly 80% of the vote.
