Rep. August Pfluger, U.S. Congressman representing Texas’ 11th district since 2021, posted a series of updates on his official Twitter account on August 7, 2025, highlighting recent federal initiatives and public safety information.
In his first post of the day, Pfluger praised the Trump Administration’s border security efforts and encouraged participation in federal law enforcement: “The Trump Administration has delivered on the mandate to secure the border. To continue serving Americans and keeping our communities safe, the administration is working to increase the number of ICE officers. Join @ICEgov and @DHSgov in protecting your homeland!” (August 7, 2025).
Later that afternoon, he emphasized what he described as significant accomplishments during President Trump’s tenure: “200 days of President Trump — and 200 days of MAJOR wins. Historic tax cuts A secure border Millions of jobs created Major investments in the U.S. The list of promises made, promises kept in the first 200 days is unparalleled. Read more:” (August 7, 2025).
In a subsequent tweet, Pfluger issued an alert regarding disaster assistance following recent flooding: ” There are 30 days left to apply for FEMA assistance if you were affected by the July 4th floods. Homeowners, renters, and students are encouraged to apply by Thursday, September 4th. Apply through the link below or call 800-621-3362.” (August 7, 2025).
August Pfluger succeeded Mike Conaway as representative for Texas’s 11th district after winning the general election in November 2020 with nearly eighty percent of the vote over Jon Mark Hogg. He has served in Congress since January 2021.
