Rep. August Pfluger, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 11th district, has recently addressed significant national security concerns through his social media posts.
On June 4, 2025, Rep. Pfluger announced that he and Homeland GOP Chairman Rep. Mark Green are “requesting DHS documents on the suspect in the Boulder attack.” He emphasized the importance of understanding how the individual involved was able to remain in the country amidst heightened threats against the United States and its allies.
Later that day, Pfluger highlighted a troubling trend by stating that “The heinous attack in Boulder this Sunday is part of a disturbing pattern, not an isolated incident.” He is leading a Homeland GOP Subcommittee on Counterterrorism and Intelligence Hearing to address growing antisemitic violence within the United States.
Additionally, Rep. Pfluger shared his engagement with constituents by noting his meeting with Texas Realtors during their visit to Washington D.C., expressing that it was “Great to meet with Texas Realtors this afternoon during their visit to our Nation’s Capital!”
August Pfluger succeeded Mike Conaway as representative of Texas’ 11th District in 2021. Born in Houston in 1978, he now resides in San Angelo at age 44.
