Rep. August Pfluger, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Texas’ 11th district since 2021, has been actively engaging with his constituents and followers on social media regarding recent events and legislative achievements. Pfluger replaced former Congressman Mike Conaway and has been serving in this capacity for several years.
On May 22, 2025, Rep. Pfluger addressed a tragic incident in Washington D.C., where two Israeli Embassy staff members were killed outside the Capital Jewish Museum. He stated “I am closely monitoring the tragic news out of D.C.—two Israeli Embassy staff members were senselessly killed outside the Capital Jewish Museum.” He emphasized that those responsible must be held accountable and expressed his condolences to the victims’ families.
Later that day, he celebrated a legislative victory by announcing ” PASSED The One Big, Beautiful Bill! “ This tweet marked a significant moment for him and his colleagues in Congress.
Following up on this announcement, Rep. Pfluger elaborated on the significance of this legislation by stating “I am proud that House Republicans united today to pass the One Big Beautiful Bill.” He noted that this was a response to the demands of 77 million Americans who sought change in November elections and framed it as fulfilling promises made during campaigns by reversing what he described as “four years of failed Democrat policies.”
August Pfluger was born in Houston, Texas in 1978 and currently resides in San Angelo at age 44.
