Congressman August Pfluger and his staff held Service Academy Nights in Midland and Killeen this week, giving students, parents, and educators information about applying to U.S. Service Academies.

“Our office had a wonderful turnout in Midland and Killeen for the Service Academy Nights,” said Rep. Pfluger. “As a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and now a Colonel in the U.S. Air Force Reserve, there is no greater honor than nominating bright leaders to U.S. Service Academies. If you are or know a student interested in heeding the call to service who was not able to attend one of these two events, please contact my office or my Service Academy Liaison, Mary O’Connor, with your questions about the application process.”

The deadline for applications for a nomination to a U.S. Service Academy is October 31, 2025. Details on how to apply can be found at Congressman Pfluger’s website at pfluger.house.gov/forms/serviceacademynomination/. Questions can be directed to Mary O’Connor at mary.oconnor@mail.house.gov.

August Pfluger has represented Texas’s 11th District in Congress since 2021 after replacing Mike Conaway that year (https://pfluger.house.gov/about). He won his seat by defeating Jon Mark Hogg in the 2020 general election with nearly 80 percent of the vote.

Pictures from both events are available online for broadcast and distribution.
