Midland, Texas – Ronald Wayne Carruth, age 66, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026, in Midland. Born on November 22, 1959, in Seminole, Texas to Edna and Charles Carruth, Ronnie spent his formative years in Hobbs, New Mexico. At Lee High School in Midland, he met his high school sweetheart, Delia, with whom he built a life centered on faith, family, and success.
Ronnie was known for his joyful spirit, vibrant laughter, and passion for vintage hotrods and rock and roll. From Colorado hunting trips to quality time with his son-in-laws and grandchildren, he cherished sharing his knowledge and love of life with those around him. An enthusiast of music, Ronnie relished the sounds of a good song played loud, whether through surround sound or on stage.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Delia Carruth, daughters Kristie Carruth, Shawna Whitecotton, Veronica Brown, and Alicia Welch, and nine grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memory are his mother, Edna Walker, siblings Charlie Carruth, Katherine Ford, Montgomery Carruth, and Kristen Iler, along with extended family members.
Preceding him in death were his father, Charles Carruth, stepfather Theron Walker, mother and father-in-law, Margaret and Joe Paiz, and nephew, Dustin Ford.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Avalos-Sanchez & Thomas Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The memorial service will take place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Kelview Heights Baptist Church.
