Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Odessa College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Odessa College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Texas residents paid $3,834 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-residents paid 26.3 percent more than residents this year, or $4,842. Their price tag was unchanged from $4,842 in 2017-18.

About 97 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Texas residents. And about 2 percent are residents of other states.

Data shows 72 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 397 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.4 million and 23 students took out student loans totaling more than $93,796.

Including all undergraduates (7,083), 2,528 students used grants or scholarships totaling $11 million, and 255 students took out $1.5 million in federal student loans.
