How many students were enrolled in Loop ISD schools in 2021-22 school year?

There were 151 students enrolled in Loop ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 3.4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 56.3% of them were boys, and 43.7% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 61.6% of the Loop ISD total enrollment.

Loop ISD roughly covers schools within Gaines County with its main office in Loop.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
