Pfluger highlights the significance of this legislation, stating, "The Port-to-Plains corridor is a significant north-south transportation corridor that will unlock transportation capabilities for the energy industry in the Permian Basin and enhance Texas' key economic engines of international trade, energy, and the largest agricultural production in the country."

He emphasizes the importance of Interstate-27 for national energy security, stating that it will play a massive role in delivering energy not just to the United States but also to the rest of the world. Pfluger also highlights the role of Interstate-27 in ensuring food security, stating that it will play a massive role in delivering food to the country.

The designation of Interstate 27 will not only provide safer roads in West Texas but will also clearly mark Midland and Odessa as the energy hub of the nation. Pfluger expresses his gratitude to Chairman Jodey Arrington and Senator Ted Cruz for their hard work and partnership on this issue.

Pfluger concludes by urging his colleagues on both sides of the aisle to support this legislation, emphasizing the importance of continuing to deliver energy and food throughout the United States.
