Congressman August Pfluger (TX-11), Chairman of the U.S. Homeland Security Subcommittee on Counterterrorism, Law Enforcement, and Intelligence, is addressing concerns about political bias within the U.S. intelligence community.
Pfluger, alongside House Homeland Committee Chairman Mark Green (R-TN), sent a letter to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas criticizing the department’s rebranding of the "Homeland Security Experts Group" to the "Homeland Intelligence Advisory Board."
Following a report from the U.S. House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government, which presented evidence that 51 former government officials allegedly conspired to influence the 2020 presidential election by claiming that Hunter Biden's laptop was Russian disinformation, Rep. Pfluger issued a statement.
"Instead of securing our southern border, which has become a gateway for ISIS-linked migrants, DHS is more concerned with appointing individuals like James Clapper and John Brennan to a partisan advisory board," said Congressman Pfluger. "These men perpetuated a Russian hoax to the American people and have no grounds to advise on matters of national security."
“House Republicans have exposed that 51 intelligence officials conspired with the Biden campaign to discredit the authenticity of the Hunter Biden laptop just weeks before the 2020 election. All 51 deserve to have their security clearances stripped. I am proud to work towards restoring accountability and transparency in our government.”
