There were 157 students enrolled in Loop ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 54.8% of them were boys, and 45.2% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 68.8% of the Loop ISD total enrollment.

Loop ISD roughly covers schools within Gaines County with its main office in Loop.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
