Glasscock County ISD welcomed 295 students in 2022-23 school year

There were 295 students enrolled in Glasscock County ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.7% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.9% of them were boys, and 47.1% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 56.3% of the Glasscock County ISD total enrollment.

Glasscock County ISD roughly covers schools within Glasscock County with its main office in Garden City.

Among the two schools in Glasscock County ISD, Garden City High School recorded the highest enrollment of 153 students in the 2022-23 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
