Wink-Loving ISD Education: 431 students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 431 students enrolled in Wink-Loving ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 5.9% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 55.7% of them were boys, and 44.3% were girls.

The most represented ethnicity among Wink-Loving ISD students was white, accounting for 49.2% of the student population.

Wink-Loving ISD roughly covers schools within Winkler County with its main office in Wink.

Among the two schools in Wink-Loving ISD, Wink Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 219 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
