Klondike ISD schools Education: 150 white students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 150 white students enrolled in Klondike ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 4.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Klondike ISD schools welcomed 254 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 59.1% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Klondike ISD roughly covers schools within Dawson County and has a main office in Lamesa.

Klondike ISD was the only school in the district which enrolled white students, welcoming 150 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
