Greenwood ISD schools Education: 40 multiracial students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 40 multiracial students enrolled in Greenwood ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 11.1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Greenwood ISD schools welcomed 3,140 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 1.3% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Greenwood ISD roughly covers schools within Midland County and has a main office in Midland.

Among the four schools in Greenwood ISD schools, Greenwood High School recorded the highest enrollment of multiracial students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 16 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
