There were 212 white students enrolled in Wink-Loving ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 1.4% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Wink-Loving ISD schools welcomed 431 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, white students comprised 49.2% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Wink-Loving ISD roughly covers schools within Winkler County and has a main office in Wink.

Among the two schools in Wink-Loving ISD schools, Wink Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 108 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
