Midland, TX - The funeral and visitation details for Gary Don Taylor, 73, of Midland have been announced following his passing on Thursday, August 1, 2024. A visitation is scheduled from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at Rankin Cemetery in Rankin, TX.

Gary, born on February 4, 1951, in Odessa, TX, served in the US Army and was married to his high school sweetheart, Tricia, for 51 years. He had a successful career in the oil and gas industry, working for companies such as Halliburton and BJ Services, before starting his own business, Taylor Consulting. Gary enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survived by his wife, Tricia Taylor, son Garrett Taylor, grandchildren Jordan and Emma Taylor, sister Rene Basham, and brother Doug Taylor, Gary was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and twin sister.

The family has expressed gratitude to Dr. PJ Patel and others for their support during this difficult time. Pallbearers for the services will include family members and close friends. Services are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
