Midland, August 3, 2024 - Cathy McCarthy, 68, of Midland, passed away on August 3, 2024. Born on August 9, 1955, in Dallas, Texas, Cathy earned a bachelor's degree in education from New Mexico State University and taught history and economics at Taos High School for 17 years. She also assisted in managing her family's ranches and was actively involved in various equestrian activities and the local 4-H club. Cathy is survived by her son, Daniel Trujillo. The family appreciates the support received from friends, hospital staff, and hospice. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
