Janie Mitchell Belew, of Midland, Texas, passed away on August 19, 2024, just shy of her 70th birthday. A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Janie will be honored at a memorial service at First Baptist Church Chapel in Midland.

Born in El Paso, Texas, Janie was described as friendly and compassionate from a young age. She excelled in academics and sports during high school and maintained lifelong friendships with her classmates. Janie married her high school sweetheart, David Belew, with whom she raised two children, Zack and Brenna, whom she cherished immensely.

Janie's thoughtfulness extended to her extended family, nieces, and nephews, and she was a pillar of support during times of need. Her faith, strength, and determination were evident throughout her battle with cancer, alongside the unwavering support of her family.

Janie's legacy of love, kindness, and generosity lives on through her husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, and numerous loved ones. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
