Walter William Clarkson, affectionately known as Bill, departed this life on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, to reunite with his beloved wife Frankie. A devoted father to Cassie Richardson and Mary Roddy, and a loving grandfather to Heather, William, Anna, Laura Ann, Jenna, and Thomas, Bill found great joy in being active with his family and community.

A veteran of the Korean War, Bill's Marine training shaped his life as he pursued a diverse range of careers, including electrician, race car driver, and educator at Midland Community College for over 25 years. With involvement in NASA's lunar module development and a passion for teaching, Bill reflected on his life with satisfaction, emphasizing his autonomy and gratitude for the experiences he enjoyed.

Preceded in death by his wife and two sons, Bill's legacy of resilience and warmth continues through his surviving family members. A viewing will take place at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland on Monday, August 26th, followed by funeral services at St. Nicholas Episcopal Church on Tuesday. Bill will be laid to rest at Serenity Memorial Garden Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the family's Tribute Store to honor the memory of Walter William Clarkson. May he rest in peace, leaving behind a lasting impact on those who were fortunate to know him.
