Midland - William Ronald Reeger, known affectionately as Coach Reeger, passed away on August 31, 2024, at the age of 81. A revered figure in the world of high school football coaching, Reeger will be remembered for his passion, dedication, and impact on numerous individuals.

Born on July 30, 1943, in Goose Creek, Texas, Reeger had a remarkable coaching career spanning various high schools, including stints at Midland High, Midland Lee, and Midland Christian. He leaves behind a legacy of coaching excellence, mentorship, and shaping the lives of countless young athletes.

Survived by his son Ronn Reeger, daughter Laura Reeger North, grandchildren, siblings, and extended family, Reeger's influence extended far beyond the football field. His commitment to his players and community was unwavering.

In recognition of his life and contributions, a visitation will be held on September 5, 2024, at 5202 Teakwood Trace in Midland, with services to follow on September 6, 2024, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a favorite booster club, team, or charity in Coach Reeger's honor.
