Myrtle "Myrt" Jenkins, Beloved Matriarch, Passes Away at 95

Midland, Texas - Myrtle Mae "Myrt" Jenkins, born July 2, 1929, in Mount Pleasant, Texas, peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Myrt, a devoted wife to Vernon Lee Jenkins, was known for her love of cooking, sewing, gardening, and service to the Lord.

A member of Cotton Flat Baptist Church, Myrt delighted in entertaining her family with homemade meals on special occasions and holidays. She and her husband provided tape ministry to homebound church members for many years. Myrt is survived by her daughters Mary Loving, Elizabeth Anderson, and Linda Gully, as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, parents, siblings, son, son-in-law, and grandson, Myrt's joyful spirit, warm smile, and affectionate embraces will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Church and graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Cotton Flat Baptist Church and Resthaven North Memorial Park, respectively.

The pallbearers, Great-Grandsons Kelton, Kaden, Dylan, Randall, and Benjamin, will proudly accompany Myrt on her final journey. Arrangements are in the caring hands of Willowbrook Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Midland. Online condolences may be shared at www.willowbrook.com.
